Nepal | Flood Relief Response
Almost two months ago, devastating flash floods swept through communities in Rasuwa, Nepal, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Homes, roads, bridges and livelihoods were destroyed within minutes, leaving thousands of families facing unimaginable loss.
According to Nepal Police, 469 people lost their lives, with hundreds more reported missing in the aftermath of the disaster.
For families who survived, the challenges did not end when the floodwaters receded. Many were left without homes, food, clothing, electricity and other basic necessities. With roads and bridges severely damaged, reaching affected communities became an enormous challenge.
Yet, in the midst of devastation, there was also compassion.

When Salaam Foundation launched its Nepal Flood Relief Appeal, our donors, supporters and friends responded with generosity and compassion.
Together with trusted partners on the ground, Salaam Foundation was able to provide food hampers to families affected by the floods, helping meet some of their most immediate needs during an incredibly difficult time.
For a family that has lost almost everything, a food hamper may seem like a simple gesture. But in a moment of crisis, it can mean a meal on the table, a little relief from uncertainty, and a reminder that someone, somewhere, cares.
