NQUTHU, KwaZulu-Natal – In a heartwarming display of community partnership and compassion, Salaam Foundation joined hands with local organisation Al-Tibyan Isikhanyiso to bring warmth, dignity, and hope to learners in the Hlathi Dam area under the Molefe Traditional Authority through its Winter Uniform Distribution Programme.
Together, the organisations visited seven local schools, providing 210 learners with essential winter necessities, including school shoes, school uniforms, tracksuits, and snacks. The initiative was designed to ease the burden on vulnerable families while ensuring that children can continue their education in comfort and with confidence during the colder months.
For many learners, receiving a complete school uniform and a new pair of shoes is more than just practical support, it restores confidence, promotes dignity, and reinforces the importance of education. The response from learners, educators, and parents was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the meaningful impact the project has had on the community.
