The world moves on and despite it being extremely taxing over the last month, our work at Salaam Foundation is consistently looking to the next phase and challenge.
Following the successful #LemonAid campaign for Gaza, our on the ground partners have placed before us a request to be part of the reconstruction and rebuilding phase.
From shelter for the thousands of people displaced, to basic living items such as pots, pans, mattresses and hygiene products, all is a requirement.
The project will also be focused on women, as they along with children and elderly are often the worst affected by human rights violations and war, and in this case, an occupation.
Salaam Foundation, as an organisation focused on sustainable development, has also requested that some attention be given to farming communities and families in the Gaza Strip. They often bear the brunt of Israeli incursions and need help to rebuild their shattered lives.
