Millions of South Africans continue to face hunger every day. Through Salaam Foundation’s hunger alleviation programmes, we support vulnerable communities by providing nutritious meals and food assistance to children and families in need.
Our current initiatives include:
• Supporting 450 children and 250 women at five care centres across Gauteng
• Providing daily meals for children and monthly food packs for women
• Supplying nutritional support to 340 children attending ECD centres in rural Northern Cape
• Distributing over 10,000 meat, egg and vegetable meals every 4-6 weeks through our feeding programmes
This winter, join Salaam Foundation’s Soup Drop Campaign and help us raise funds to continue feeding those in need.
How you can help:
Secure a venue
Prepare or sponsor haleem or soup
Sell it in your community
Donate the proceeds to support our feeding programmes
Secure a venue (can be outside your home, a shop, masjid, community space, school, market, etc) make sure to make arrangements with the owner of the venue.
Sell it in your community with anything else you think may sell on the day.
